"My own eyes have seen the salvation which you prepared."

Lk 2:22-35

How did Simeon know which baby boy was the messiah? Surely there was nothing so blatantly unusual about the infant Christ or his parents that a total stranger should be able to pick them out in a crowd. Simeon's heart must have been singularly attuned to God to recognize his son so easily. God had not only planned for Jesus to be the world's salvation, but he had long prepared Simeon's heart as well.

What, in your life right now, has God prepared your heart for? How has he prepared you to recognize him? Take some time today to look for the infant Christ in your life. Where is he found? When you see him, take him into the arms of your heart and praise God for his presence in your life!
