"This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased; listen to him."

Mt 17:1-9

As Jesus is transfigured atop Mt. Tabor, the voice of God speaks aloud to Peter, James and John. An invitation is given to them: listen to him.

Do they listen? Yes. And what do these men gain by that? Intimacy with Christ himself. They get to glimpse the glory he has in heaven, thereby participating in that glory.

Jesus doesn't want to hide himself in heaven and enjoy his glory privately. If he did, he would never have adopted our human nature and come to earth. He wants us to witness and participate in his glory. He wants to share his glory with us, thereby magnifying it

Are you ready to listen to the voice of God today? Are you ready to share in his glory?
